Choir Songs
We always sing a couple of songs as a choir during the Fun Concert, and often include something we will be singing in the Summer Concert as a nice taster for our audience.

INFORMATION
For our new members, and a reminder to those who have been in the choir for a while, the main purpose is to have a fun choir get-together, whilst also raising funds for the Summer Concert. The Fun Concert is an important date for the choir and everyone is encouraged to participate in some way.
Performances
We will be singing 2 or 3 songs with the full choir, conducted by Sanda. Sanda is also happy to get involved in your group rehearsals. (See above)
To maximise the number of singers participating, please try to join a group, rather than performing solo pieces! We have many new members this year so please do include them. Or perhaps new members can form a group of their own?
As soon as you are organised and know what you’d like to sing, let us know. We will ensure songs aren’t duplicated. We need to know:

participants
song title
length of performance (max 4 minutes)
Price
Tickets need to be bought for choir members as well as guests. The price per ticket will be 15 euros.
Logistics
The room is rented from 5pm to 11pm so the set-up will run straight into the concert. Everyone did a great job with the set-up and tidy up last year. We’re hoping for the same support this year and thank you in advance!
We hope to hire someone again to load/unload the dishwasher so helpers don’t get stuck in the kitchen.
Accompaniment
Eduardo will be happy to accompany your performance. We will be setting up some times for extra rehearsal with him before the start of the Thursday rehearsals from 7.15 to 8.00, through March, at your own cost. This is in addition to the general run-through rehearsal at the last evening before the concert. A sign-up sheet with the times and costs will be available at the end of February as you will need to book.
Please give your music to Eduardo at least a week before your rehearsal.
It is no problem if you have a CD accompaniment that you would like to use.
Food and Drink
We will place the sign-up sheet at rehearsals a few weeks before the concert where you can put whether you are bringing a main course or dessert. Remember you will need to bring twice as much food as you and your guests will eat to make sure there is enough to go around. Half the choir will bring savoury and half sweet.
Raffle Prizes
The first prize will be 2 tickets to the Summer Concert. All other prizes will be food/drink consumables. In total there will be between 10 and 15 prizes.
Donations
We had some very generous donations last year from people who couldn’t attend the concert. We are always very grateful for these.
Finally – Volunteers
If you would like to get involved, please let us know. We always need plenty of people to help. We know a lot of you will also step up on the night to make it happen.
We specifically need help with the following. Please let us know if one of these tasks is for you:
Room set up and dismantling ie: arranging tables and chairs
Laying the tables
Food arrangement and changing of courses
Sale of tickets
Ticket control at the door
Selling raffle tickets on the night
Controlling the sound system (loading CD’s)
Clearing plates to the kitchen (no washing up)
General tidying and sweeping up after the concert
